BONITA BURN & KELOID
Golden-Time Scar Care
The first few days after an accident decide how large a scar remains
In urgent cases, such as bleeding that will not stop, deep open wounds or extensive burns, please get treatment at the nearest emergency room first.

Bonita's Approach
With burn scars, treating before the scar settles is what matters
It can still be treated after it has settled
However, burn scars often cover a wide area, so treatment takes a long time

Stem cell regenerative treatment
- It helps damaged tissue regenerate.
- Because your own bone marrow, fat or blood is used, there is little concern about rejection.
- The procedure is relatively short.
BONITA BURN & KELOID
Before a wound hardens into a scar, the golden time changes the size of the mark
For burn patients, treatment comes first, but life afterwards must also be considered.
That is why it is best to start scar treatment early, alongside acute care.
From first- and second-degree burns to third-degree and beyond, how you are treated within the 'golden time' decides how large the scar becomes.
Burn scars Why treatment matters
Unlike scars from ordinary trauma or surgery, burn scars damage the skin irregularly.
After initial emergency care, treatment that helps keep the scar small needs to follow.
Burn scars often involve deformed tissue, so it is important to combine skin regeneration with scar treatment to keep the scar smaller.
When scar-reduction treatment is done before a skin graft
· First- and second-degree burns can heal without a skin graft. · For third-degree burns or deeper, the graft area can be kept smaller, reducing the size of the scar after grafting.
When removing burn scars after a skin graft
· After a skin graft, contracture can leave the grafted area pigmented and different from the surrounding skin. · More work is needed to resolve the separated look of the skin.
Before resorting to a skin graft, we treat burn damage with stem cell therapy, which is effective in helping the skin recover.

Recovery
- Right after treatment
The wound is cleaned and stitched or dressed. Preventing infection comes first.
- During recovery
After the stitches are removed, scar care begins with sun protection and moisturizing.
- As it settles
This is when redness and firmness change. Laser or injection treatment is added if needed, and any remaining marks continue with restoration.
Recovery time and follow-up visits vary with the extent of treatment and your individual condition.
