What sets Bonita rhinoplasty apart

Height alone does not decide how a nose looks. The tip, the bridge, the nasolabial angle and the proportions of the whole face shape it together.

From shape concerns such as a hump, crooked nose, tip or arrow nose to revisions for visible implants or contracture, we first check the bone, cartilage, skin and tissue behind the problem.

Director Kwang-Seop Chung has performed the surgeries since 1995.

TYPE 01

Nose surgery

Hump nose, crooked nose, tip, arrow nose, alar reduction and nasal bone narrowing. The bridge, tip and nostrils are matched to the face’s proportions, and breathing is checked as well.

TYPE 02

Revision Rhinoplasty

Revisions for implants, the tip and contracted noses. We first check the remaining cartilage and tissue.

TYPE 03

Nasal Implant Removal

We look at the implant, capsule and soft tissue, and plan the nose’s shape after removal as well.

TYPE 04

Cleft lip nose

The position of the cartilage on each side, the septum and the balance with the lip and face are considered together.

Recovery

  1. Right after treatment

    There is swelling and bruising; the nasal splint stays on and cold compresses are used.

  2. During recovery

    The splint and stitches are removed. While the main swelling subsides, avoid pressure on the nose such as from glasses.

  3. As it settles

    As residual swelling in the tip subsides, the final shape appears.

Recovery time and follow-up visits vary with the extent of treatment and your individual condition.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you also look at nasal blockage with a crooked nose?
Yes. A crooked nose often comes with a deviated septum, so we also check functional issues such as nasal blockage and rhinitis. The surgical plan takes both the cosmetic correction and the functional problem into account.
My nasal implant shows through. What can be done?
We consider reselecting the implant and reinforcing the supporting tissue, or removing it and rebuilding with your own tissue. An implant that shows through or can be felt often means its size or material does not fit, or the soft tissue covering it has thinned.
Is it enough just to take the implant out?
If only the implant is taken out and the surrounding capsule is left, the tissue can contract again or the nose can look unnatural. We decide on capsule removal and post-removal support together.
When can contracted nose revision be done?
We reconstruct once the skin has softened enough. Depending on the condition, the surgery may be done in stages.
Where will the scar be?
For the nose, scars are mostly inside the nostrils or on the columella, and we manage them so they fade over time.
