Recovery

  3. As it settles

    We check how the grafted fat has taken and decide whether a touch-up is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it look different without bone surgery?
When the area around the mouth and the chin are hollow and make the mouth look more protruding, these areas are filled with your own fat to balance the profile. If the teeth or gums protrude significantly, we first explain how much can change at your consultation.
Won’t all the grafted fat disappear?
Some is absorbed and the fat that takes remains. The amount is set with the survival rate in mind, and we decide on touch-ups after seeing your progress.
Will a scar remain?
There is little concern about incision scars. The procedure is done without incisions.
Do nasolabial folds improve too?
Usually, the nasolabial folds are improved at the same time. Fat grafting for a protruding mouth often fills the hollows around the folds as well.
How long is the recovery?
