A dorsal hump is not simply a bump on the bridge.
Along with the bump on the dorsum, it can make the tip look droopy or give an overall strong, sharp impression.
Bonita's hump rhinoplasty considers not only the protruding part but also the balance of bridge and tip, aiming for a natural, soft line.

Removing only what protrudes can actually make the nose look lower or create an awkward line.
With a dorsal hump the tip often looks droopy as well, so the dorsum and tip must be considered together for a natural profile.

There is swelling and bruising; the nasal splint stays on and cold compresses are used.
The splint and stitches are removed. While the main swelling subsides, avoid pressure on the nose such as from glasses.
As residual swelling in the tip subsides, the final shape appears.
