A surgery that addresses the bridge, tip and nostrils together

Unlike surgery that only raises the bridge, full nose surgery addresses the bridge, tip, nostrils and nasolabial angle together to fit the face’s proportions. Changing one part alone can make the rest look awkward, so we look at the whole from the start.

The bridge's height and width are set with an implant or your own tissue, and the tip is supported with your own cartilage such as septal or ear cartilage. Wide alar or splayed nasal bones are reduced or narrowed in the same surgery.

Before surgery we plan with front, side and 45-degree photos and by checking skin thickness and cartilage; after the splint is removed you return on a set schedule to check progress.

Recovery

Right after treatment
There is swelling and bruising; the nasal splint stays on and cold compresses are used.
During recovery
The splint and stitches are removed. While the main swelling subsides, avoid pressure on the nose such as from glasses.
As it settles
As residual swelling in the tip subsides, the final shape appears.

Recovery time and follow-up visits vary with the extent of treatment and your individual condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't I just raise the bridge?

Changing only one part can make the rest look out of place, so we look at the bridge, tip, alae and nasolabial angle together in proportion to your face.

Is the bridge done with an implant?

The height and width of the bridge are set with an implant or autologous tissue. The tip is supported with your own cartilage, such as septal or ear cartilage. Which material suits you depends on skin thickness and the change you want.

Where will the scar be?

For the nose, scars are mostly inside the nostrils or on the columella, and we manage them so they fade over time.
